What would you do if you saw gay parents berated by a waitress?

I’m such a puss. I teared up watching this. The thing I hate about living in a mega-liberal town is that people have this backwards way of thinking. Sure they’re tolerant of all lifestyles, which is great, but they judge people SO HARD if they’re from a “red state.” I have a lot of friends in Texas that disagree with gay marriage and gay rights, which sucks. But they ALWAYS treat people with respect. ALWAYS. I’ve been in a place before where my ultra-conservative friends or cousins have stood up for someone who was gay or trans. I disagree with them about most things, but I always appreciate people showing others respect.

Basically: if you’re gonna act all high and mighty about being tolerant, try being respectful to everyone. Even if you disagree with their choices. It’s exhausting being constantly judged by folks out here just because I’m from TX. The little things, y’all.
